I am about to start giving my lo vitamins as she is so vunerable to every cold thats going. Can anyone recommend vitamins my lo is 2.5 yrs. Someone said Abidec is good. Do any of you mums give this to your child. I would prefer something with as little additives and sugar. We live in London.

We give our dd Abidec - she is 3.4. Generally just through the winter. She is not a big eater and so just covering all bases really.

Hi Hillbilly do you think Abidec is better than other vitamins for children? Do they have a lot of additives and sugar?

quick warning about abidec - it contains peanut oil so just make sure you lo isn't allergic to peanuts before you give it to her. Another option is dalivit which my DD has

I gave a spoonful to her yesterday and she was ok. But that is concerning that there is peanut oil in childrens vitamins.

peanuts are very good for you, unless you are allergic to them.
peanuts are an incredibly healthy snack. a good source of all sorts of healthy minerals and oils.
only to a very small minority of people are they harmful. but the media bandwagon.......

which vitamin to choose. with three children, i have given up trying to find the 'best' one. and now just give them something they will actually swallow. it may not be the best, but if it gets inside them, it is still better than no vitamins. good luck with your dc

Not sure about the additives, must have a look. But she will happily have it which is important. Good luck!
