Should you push back a child's cuticles?

Was cutting DD1's fingernails today and noticed that her cuticles are about 1/4 of the way up her fingernails. Do we just leave them alone completely or should I be doing something with them?

TIA.

Just leave them, they are only pushed back by manicurists for cosmetic reasons, they help to protect tha base of the nail.
