DS 2.9 Throwing up a lot-Is this just one of those things?

Can anyone help me at all??
DS (33 months) has been sick tonight, this is the fifth time this year (by 5th, I mean the 5th bout of sickness, not actually 5th time he's thrown up, that'd be about 15!!)
Are some children just sick a lot??
My Dad and I get "dodgy tummys" a lot although not actual throwing up, could it be genetic??
He is a terribly fussy eater and therefore doesn't have an ideal diet, could this be related at all??
Thanks

Is he at age where started mixing with more kids at playgroup or anything? If so might just be having more exposure to nasties.

I think some people are more prone to certain things. I'm an ears, nose and throat person who had barely had a stomach bug until I had children but have since had several. Ds1 has had more than dd, the other week we all had the same stomach bug. Mine only lasted 2 days, dd's lasted 4 and the boys lasted 2 weeks! As for tonsiltus I couldn't tell you the amount of times i've had that!

Thanks for replying, I'm sitting here convincing myself he's got something nasty!!He's always mixed with other kids really, we've gone to toddler groups and friends houses pretty much daily since him being born.
I think you're right ledodgy and he's just prone to tummy upsets! He is over tired too, since moving to a bad 3 months ago his sleeping time has nearly halved!!
