why do they drible so much when they have colds?????

my ds is 2 yrs and 2mths and he has a bad cold at the moment and although he has all his teeth he is dribbling so bad i have to change his top 3 times a day .anyone else kids do this???? i find it very strange!!!

Because they can't breathe easily through their noses, therefore their mouths are open most of the time?

Beacuase the body's natural defense is to produce more mucous and fluid to flush out the bugs.

And then as Wee says - they open their mouths more to breath.

Me personally I find that I dribble more down below when I have a cold....so I would say your DS is within the realms of normal
