5 year old with cradle cap

have noticed quite bad case of cradle cap at front of dd's scalp,her hair is quite thin so you can see it.... what's best for treating this?

gently massage some olive oil into it and then gently comb wiht a nit comb (really). Lifts it right off

i was just about to post the exact same thing. i used leftover baby oil, but i think any oil is good, and olive oil is lovely for skin. i really coated the hair in it (short hair, dont spose theres any reason to make the edns oily on long hair) and then gently ran the nitty gritty comb through it at an angle close to the scalp (almost parallel rather than perpendicular iyswim.) have a towel handy to wipe off the grey murky stuff and it just comes right off.

mind you, i saw someone post the other day that they rubbed leftover bio oil on and it just dissolved... dunno how that works but im curious to see it.

being a bit dumb here, but then I guess you wash it all out? Does the oil come out okay wiht shampoo?

Yes just shampoo it out. DS's hair is v thick and it came out no problem.
