dd3 has a tag on her tragus. its not really a tag, more like a hard lump. its like her skin grew thw wrong way in the womb.

i would like for it to be removed before she starts school. which s in a years time.

i asked for a referral a year ago but never heard anything.

have i left it too late for it to be done before next sept?

its not urgent, i know that.

No, unlikely to be too late even if you have various stages to go through. At most stages they get brownie points/fail to get black marks if completed within 6 weeks. ds2 is having a large birthmark removed in stages, and timetable has been:

  1. early April
  2. mid May seen consultant dermatologist
  3. early July seen plastic surgeon
  4. early August op date offered and declined.
  5. late August operation
  6. mid October clinic date offered and declined.
  7. early Nov clinic date

It's cosmetic and certainly non-urgent, but if you look at the schedule everything fits neatly into the 6-week pattern.

Of course it all depends on where you're going and how busy the departments are.

fantastic thank you.

i want to leave it a wee while as she has just had plastic surgery on her hand after an accident. so want to get that all sorted and healed first.
