DD keep getting a rash that is driving her mad

The skin goes red and hot with white raised bumps and it spreads very very quick. It seems to start on her face, goes behind her ears, down her arms, legs and back. It is very very itchy. It dies down with piriton, she has been getting on and off for a week. My sister who is a nurse thought they were hives.

Anyone else seen anything similar?

Having done some googling I think it is hives, I think it may be chocolate. So any reason to get her to eat less chocolate is not so bad, clouds and silver linings.
