My DD turned 9 last month and since July this year has been experiencing shaking movements. These movements effect her upper body (arms, neck, shoulders, head) it can be described as almost like a violent vibration movement. These last for approx 5-10 seconds and happen many times a day 100-200 times. She sometimes makes a mmm noise whilst doing these.
We've been referred to a consultant who has ordered EEG (still awaiting results) and blood tests (all levels normal apart from slightly low in iron). No epilepsy in the family. Consultant mentioned possibly shuddering attacks however when we researched this it says they usually happen with young children.
School haven't reported any problems, however DD has said some children notice her doing it at school. Grandparents have seen these movements too and other family members.
