Early teething?

My 14 month old cut his first teeth at 4 months and has rocketed through them all, his pre-molars all cut between 12-13 months. I’m now wondering if second molars are on the way - he’s got awful nappy rash, is very dribbly and grizzly plus won’t let us brush anything other than his front teeth without a battle.
Is this even possible or is there just something else going on? I can’t get anywhere near his mouth to check!

It’s uncommon but not impossible. Can you look in his mouth while he’s asleep?

I’ve tried, but he sleeps in the most awkward positions - he likes the top corner of his cot where I can’t get to his mouth easily 😂

Has he got his canines get? They tend to come after the pre molars. We also had first tooth at 4 months, pre molars at 12 months then we had canines at 14 months. Molars were around 20/21 months

Yeah - they actually cut before his pre-molars! They’ve not grown to the same size as the rest of his teeth yet but they’ve cut.

It could also, unfortunately, be the start of HFM - currently going round my child's nursery.

Hoping not - he had that not too long ago before starting nursery!
