Infection

I had to take my 10 year old to the walking centre on Saturday due to an infected sole of foot caused by a spinter.
We were given antibiotics for it (5 days) and plasters to help make the spinter come out as apparently they do not take them out.
We have 1 day left of the antibiotics, her foot is looking better but clearly still infected (pus and a red streak).

Its causing her pain to walk on as its formed a lump where the splinter is.
Do I take her back? I don't want to mess about with it in case I do more damage?
She has one day left but im worried the infection is not completely doing to go by then and of course the splinter is still deep in there!
