Hey my LO is 6.5months old and absolutely obsessed with putting stuff in his mouth to the point where we cant even do anything!

every toy goes straight in hismouth to the point where its obssessive/hyper oral fixation! What do i do?

ive tried anbesol/calpol/Ibrufrofen/teething sachets. He has sophie and teething toys but becomes really frustrated when using them but screams when they are taken away

im worried it's something else and not teething because i cant see any teeth. Hes al ways been very mouthy but its very hard to show him a toy/book/spoon or anything cos his main thing is he immediately looks to chew so wont explore anything

older DS has autism and im scared this is a symptom as hes so busy mouthing stuff that he cant/wont interact with me

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Isn’t this just normal baby behaviour? My daughter is 9 months and loves putting everything in her mouth. She had a couple of teeth through recently but has done (and still does) this for months. I’m not concerned, I know it’s just her way of learning the world.

I wouldn’t worry at this age but understand why you are wondering. Just make sure baby has a teether whilst sharing a book or toy.
Does your older DS use chewellery?

@littlemissalwaystiredit is normal butafter a month or two its become obsessive, especially when it gets commented on quite a fair bit at classes etc as it seems overly bad

@24Dogcuddlerolder DS doesnt require chewellery so never tried it tbh, we have lots of teething toys its just a bit of a pain
