Swollen lymph node

Hi,

My DS (2) has had a swollen lymph node in his neck since June. He has been to the drs a couple of times and they said it’s ok. I can’t help but feel worried when I see it. It’s only prominent when he looks up. Is it normal for them to say enlarged this long? Thank you for reading

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My ds had this for a year at least, at that sort of age. The doctor said that he was fighting those infections that he must have had, or been in contact with”. He is grown up, healthy and a doctor himself now, it so happens! Try not to worry.

(I seem to remember that the doctor at the time found several more raised lymph nodes, too, eg under arm and groin. )

My son has this on the side of his neck. They have been that way for several years (he is 11 now). We had an ultra sound on them since we have private medical insurance and all was fine. The ENT specialist we saw said he too had had them when he was younger but they were no longer prominent now he is an adult.

Thank you all very much for the reassurance
