CosmoCol Half for a two year old?

Has anyone had CosmoCol Half prescribed for a two year old? My child has been on Movicol paediatric but this is out of stock with the manufacturer. I was given a different prescription for Macrogol but the chemist has substituted this for CosmoCol Half. It says on the package leaflet this is not recommended for children under 12. I noticed online that CosmoCol paediatric is for children aged 2 - 11.
So I was wondering has anyone else been given CosmoCom Half for a toddler?

The active ingredients are the same between half strength macrogol, and paediatric macrogol, but the labelled paediatric medicine is used on licence, and the half strength off licence. So it tends not to be issued, as it makes for paperwork. But yes, they're effectively the same thing, apart from differences in flavour.
