Bruises on toddler's back and bottom, normal or worth seeing GP?

My little one is almost 3, a very active typical boy who doesn’t sit still for long and always jumping on and off things, running around and playing etc.
Tonight at bath time I noticed a small bruise on his back and then one on his bottom cheek. He hasn’t mentioned anything about hurting himself which he usually would and when asked he didn’t know what he had done.
I have now got myself in a total panic thinking the bruises could be because of something medical with them being in an odd place.
Does this sound like typical toddler bruises or should I be more concerned and take to the GP?

Has he been in the care of anyone else?

Has he toppled over backwards or bumped into something

Has he fallen over? Played roughly on any play equipment? Had a spat with a sibling? Back and bum probably means he fell backwards and/or sat on something?

Preschoolers are always doing things like that aren’t they, and obviously haven’t seen them but I don’t think it would occur to me to go to the GP over 2 small bruises when DC is their usual healthy happy active self.

Just nursery, but they are good at doing accident forms over the slightest bump! And my little one is the first to tell us if anything has happened at nursery if he has fallen over etc so i’m not worried about that, more the medical worry if he is bruising easily!

I think the only reason to be concerned would be if you think someone has hurt him deliberately… a couple of small bruises doesn’t sound like a medical issue.

He could have rolled off the sofa onto a toy on the floor/ fallen over backwards / stumbled backwards into a bike in the garden etc. He wouldn’t necessarily remember these as getting hurt.

He is always playing roughly and throwing himself around, it does look like he has fallen onto a toy or bumped himself when standing up or something!
I think I am panicking that it could mean he is bruising more easily than he should be with the location of them!
But you are right they are always bumping themselves on something!

I wouldn’t go to the GP unless you think someone has deliberately hurt him or you could find yourself being referred to social services for an unexplained ( non accidental) injury.
