Toddler losing consciousness

My 16 month old had a brief episode when I picked her up and she went completely limp and floppy and unresponsive, only for a few seconds
Anyone else experience this?

Medical attention. Quickly please.

This is something that needs to be checked out. It's possible that someone on here has experienced this with a toddler and all was fine but that's not necessarily the same in your case and you need real medical advice.

Agree with pps. This is an emergency, and she needs to be seen this morning.

Chose to post on Mumsnet rather than call an ambulance or throw her in the car and get her to A&E.

Massive assumption there, I wasn't anywhere with any medical care facilities, once ferry back to mainland, 111 didn't seem concerned and said just one of those things ,I've been to my gp since but again weren't overly concerned, have referred for a blood test

A 111 doctor told me that, as a solution to a severe chest infection in late pregnancy, I should google mindfulness. So it seems perfectly plausible to me.

The doctor who called me back absolutely said that, why would I lie, I asked if they needed to be seen or to wait till Monday to go to my own gp and she said to make an appointment with my own gp

I rang 111 and took her to my gp, is that not medical care?

Yes she did, I took her to my gp yesterday and I'm trying to book the blood test now but gp gave me wrong number

So now I'm lying about the gp giving me the wrong number 😂 the community healthercare centre doesnt do under 2 so I have to call the hospital who aren't answering

If this was presented to us we would be wanting to do an ECG and monitor, and potentially send for a heart scan. Funnily enough my son also had this, though I called for an ambulance immediately. He did go blue though. It was a 'brief, resolved, unexplained event' or BRUE. He had to have two heart scans at intervals and was in hospital for two nights being monitored. Loss of consciousness, even if only once and then a spontaneous resolution can be absolutely nothing (young circulatory system. Stress etc), however it can also be an emerging heart condition. You need to push for some quick and proper medical care at hospital OP.

Thanks your helpful reply, when I looked it said BRUE was only for children under a year? She didn't turn blue thankfully, after calling all day finally got an appt for blood test 4th September but not of it'll show anything that long after the event?
