Toddler still vomiting once daily after nine days of suspected virus

Hi, my 14-month-old son suddenly started vomiting last Thursday night. Throughout this entire time, he has never had a temperature or any other symptoms. For the first 4 to 5 days, he was very lethargic, low in energy, and vomiting twice a day. I have taken him to see a doctor a couple of times, and they all agree it is a viral bug.

Over the last couple of days, his energy and mood have improved and he is back to doing normal things. He is drinking well and eating, though not quite his usual amount. However, he is still vomiting once daily in the late evening. This doesn't seem to bother or annoy him, but it has now been 9 days, and I thought a viral bug would have passed by this stage. Has anyone had a similar experience with a lingering daily evening vomit with their child or have any advice?

Posting as our son is similar. He is 4 and has been vomiting and had diarrhoea on and off for 10 days. He has lost his appetite but is generally well in himself. I keep thinking he’s over it, then two days later he’l throw up again! I’m not sure what to do. he hasn’t had a temperature or any other symptoms.

We just went through this but it was febrile vomiting (ie with big temps) usually at night or in morning first thing.

It was an odd one. I actually thought it might be a Covid because she did have a cough also. No one else in house affected.
