Over the weekend, DD (3) has developed a rash. On her legs, arms and elbows. Initially assumed heat rash but doctor has said it’s not. You can see the rash on her skin but it becomes quite red when she gets hot or upset (presumably again because she’s hot?) seems well in herself, has itched a small amount. She also has it quite badly on her legs around her nappy area.
Today I made a doctors appointment and although the doctor couldn’t give me a definitive answer she said she thought it was either viral or hand, foot and mouth. Whilst waiting for our appointment today I noticed some marks had appeared on her feet. Vitals were all good and the doctor said she didn’t think it was anything sinister. I’m to take her back Thursday if no better.
Have just been up and peeled back her duvet to find her leg rash is red again so have stripped the duvet and giving her a light blanket.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar? Does this look like hand, foot and mouth to you? A lady who works in DD’s preschool said her son had it but was completely well within himself.
