Private ENT Glue Ear

Hi,

are there any private companies who people are aware will do adenoids removal and grommets for a 2 year old?
He has had glue ear for 10 months with temporary hearing aids however speech and balance are significantly impacted. Under dietician for small size and physio due to not independently walking and both felt ENT is the route to explore as all paediatric testing has come back with no issues.

NHS ENT I saw wasn’t great - said snoring is normal in toddlers unless problematic (the health visitor watched him nap and was appalled she said this and felt there were clear apnoea episodes). Suggested a oventent balloon if things don’t improve - his speech and understanding is so poor due to moderate hearing loss from glue ear I can’t see how he would get on with it at all.

would rather cut my losses and pay but all providers I’ve looked into is 3+. Which if that’s the minimum we will wait of course but worth an ask. He gets so frustrated and is in pain with his ears many days :(

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Adenoids aren’t often done in 2 yr olds because of the relative risks of bleeding. When it is being done it’s usually in the bigger paediatric centres. Not sure you’ll find many private places happy to do it at that age.
