Strange question but I just noticed these dark patches on my 20m old boy. They're quite far back. I don't know if this is a normal tongue or indicative if a health issue. Any ideas? 🤔

Health wise seems fine.

Thrush?

Sorry, the image is still waiting for approval. But there's no white so I assume not

Just saw your photo - it is definitely thrush/candida overgrowth. My DS had exactly the same tongue.

No. Normal tongue.
Beware of medical advice on Mumsnet. If you are truly concerned see the GP. They will be able to ask the appropriate questions and examine properly. Not urgent.

Please look at the back of the tongue

Obviously see the gp if you feel you need to. In our case something similar was geographical tongue. It happened from intolerance to citrus fruits.
