Baby digestive issues - week 15

Hi all!

I heard that babies digestion improves at 3 months but we're past this stage now but digestion is still an issue. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem or if I should be worried.

It's very clearly digestion as she is grunting and moving legs.

If you did have this issue when did it resolve by?

Their digestive systems can take a while - and improve again once they’re siting up at 6 months plus
have you spoken to your GP about whether this is reflux or CPMA?

Thank you for answering!

Ahhhh I see, so it can go on for longer? They told me it's likely just normal issues at the 8 week check up, but as it hasn't calmed I wasn't sure if that could be more serious.

I don't think it's reflux because it looks like she is trying to poop, like straining and going red in the face.

It won't be cows milk intolerance because I am vegan so don't consume any cows milk.

If you’re worried with a baby this young then always see a GP
if you’re breastfeeding then you can try fennel tea that can be soothing
for many babies it is something they grow out of tho
deffo have a chat with a HCP

Hate to say it Op but DS’ didn’t even start resolving until about 5 months. Weaning and age mostly sorted it and now at 7m he just has typical weaning constipation occasionally. The change is huge.

Gripe water to help with the gas and a lot of patience was our only way forward because no amount of bicycle legs or fennel tea made a jot of difference for us. We tried everything.

Solidarity! It’s hard seeing them in so much discomfort but it does improve.
