Hello, my DD is constipated but she is still going everyday sometimes 2-3 times a day.
She is Autistic but eats fruit and veg, what things are good to get things moving naturally. Ive cut dairy out her diet. We got prescribed enemas which ive used one but hasn't done a lot and also picolax but I dont want to use that yet as it sounds so harsh on her little tummy. She hates movicol and the texture. Is there any tablet laxatives children can take? She gets tummy pain but is passing wind and eating still.

Thank you

Ella’s kitchen prunes. This worked wonders for my child. Then just a spoonful a day to keep regular.

I make a chocolate spread made with dates for my constipation prone child. Its dates, grounds hazelnuts and cocoa powder blended with a milk of your choice. Then I add it to her morning porridge or make oat pancakes to go with it. Also I offer lots of drinks and make sure theirs plenty of options as that makes a huge difference.
I always give her a bowl of cashew nuts and raisins too which seems to help.

Will she eat jelly? You can mix movicol into jelly and it’s pretty much undetectable. My daughter was on 12 sachets at one point for disimpaction and that was one way we did it.
