Raised lump on baby’s head

Has anyone else experienced a raised lump on a baby’s head? It’s about 1cm wide and feels like it is full of fluid. The GP said it might be a cyst and referred us for an ultrasound but not sure when the appointment will come through. Anyone experienced similar? Ignore the bad cradle cap in the photo.

Yes, my DD had one exactly the same but even bigger! Came up about 12 hours after she was born, and spontaneously went away about 3 weeks later. As we were in the hospital the midwives looked and were unconcerned. It has a fancy name but I can’t remember what.

A fluid-filled lump on a baby’s head can be a cyst, which is often harmless. It’s good that your GP referred for an ultrasound. Monitor it, and follow up if it changes or grows.
