Has anyone's teenage son had surgery for testicular torsion and barely been able to walk afterwards because legs are stiff and weak?? If so, how long did it last?!

he may have had a medication as part of the anaesthetic that can cause sore/stiff muscles for a while...if it's due to that it usually settles down pretty quickly (can usually be felt in the muscles all over but if he's got particularly muscular legs it might be more noticeable there). Weakness/stiffness with any other signs (like change in sensation/change in bowel or bladder sensation/fevers/progressively worsening weakness/any other odd neuro symptoms etc) warrants speaking with a real life HCP.

Thank you. When you say 'for a while' how long do you mean? It's been 2.5 days now and he can still only do a few steps.

if it's related to the anaesthetic medication it usually recovers like you would expect after doing a really heavy workout.
