Red head after shampooing

My baby is 3 months old and has slightly sensitive skin.

I washed her hair yesterday and her forehead and scalp came out in a red ‘rash’. I rewashed her hair with just water and it disappeared. I assume it was because the shampoo was fragrances (still a baby one though). Never had a problem with it the last 3 months.

I used one today that is for eczema and meant to be for sensitive skin etc. She’s come out in a rash again. I don’t normally wash her hair every day, but have done so 2 days in a row. I’m worried she’s having some sort of allergic reaction (likely me being OTT).

Any advice or tips? Anyone else had this? Pics below.

I wouldn’t call that an allergic reaction. I have 3 kids, 2 have regular skin and my third has sensitive skin, like minor scrubbing in the bath brings him a bit red but it’s not an allergy, similar when he’s wrestling with his siblings he comes out in red marks

Don’t use it again. I didn’t use any shampoo in my child’s hair for literally years, they don’t need it. They aren’t doing enough to get hot and sweaty. A rinse of hair and scalp with water is enough. It may be a gentle build up of use that has caused the reaction too.

Dd used Bee Nature organic baby shampoo when dgc had sensitive skin/scalp. There are other honey shampoos available.
I would avoid any highly scented shampoo or ones with lanolin/hydantoin/allatoin for now. These are common ingredients in toiletries but can cause reactions.
