Toddler Diarrhoea?

I'm hoping someone has been in or a similar position to me. Since weaning at 9 months my son has had diarrhoea, or very very soft poos, not formed at all. 3 weeks ago I took him to doctors and they says he has toddler diarrhoea. But the past week it has literally turned to water, when he passes gas or even just standing! Thing is he still has a very strong appetite and will eat pretty much anything.
At Christmas I cut out dairy for a week and nothing changed. He's not on formula or baby food, everything is homemade.
I feel at a loss, if as an adult this was happening it would be very worrying. So I feel like I'm being fobbed of by the NHS.
If anyone is going through something similar I would love to hear from you. All the other mums I have spoken to in person have no experience with this.

I went through this with my dc last year. Same diagnosis. I did the same as you, cut out milk to see if it made a difference and it didn't. The pediatrician advised to reduce fruit until it settles/stops and that worked. It's not uncommon and can actually last until age 6 or so until digestive system fully matures.

ETA make sure you don't give pop or fruit juice either.

Thank you, I will give this a try and see how he goes. He does eat alot of fruit and drinks fruit juice. Fingers crossed. 🤞
