Reoccurring croup

Can I please have examples of why your kids had reoccurring croup please? Is it just one of those things?

my son is 4. And he has been getting croup every 1-3 months. Sometimes resulting in steroids; sometimes not.
we have been prescribed brown and blue inhaler which over using for the last year maybe makes them less severe but he is still getting episodes the same length of time apart.

I honestly just don’t know what to do anymore and I spend my life in constant anxiety wondering when the next time will be.

doctors aren’t interested in helping and just say he will grow out of it?

My twins had similar. Many hospital visit for dexo. They did grow out of it eventually - around 8. I did finally manage to see a dr who prescribed the deco in tablet for but it was a huge battle. it’s horrible , you have my sympathy.

My daughter had recurrent croup and the anxiety every time she coughed was horrendous! We saw a private ENT consultant in the end who gave us a prescription for the steroid to have at home to give her as soon as she started with it, so we avoided constant hospital trips. She hasn't had an episode for 11 months now so praying we are out the other side. She's just turned 6.
