Hello, looking for similar experiences.

my son had a fall yesterday and knocked his mouth, gums bleeding around the two front teeth. This isnt our first rodeo on this as boys will be boys.

however, this is the first time I have taken him to a dentist after a fall. The dentist felt all round his gums and knocked his teeth and he didn’t flinch, he has basically said they are a little wobbly and probably dead but he didn’t really seem concerned even though the gums are slightly bruised, he has booked us in for 4 weeks time to do a proper check up for his age?

am I to presume that I just need to wait it out and see if the gum hardens? And hope for the best.

anyone got any similar experiences?

We haven’t had knocked teeth but have had a chipped tooth. Our dentist said there’s not really much they will bother to do at that age as the mouth is still developing and the child will eventually lose the teeth anyway, so no point doing any repairs/fillers, etc. unless it is causing issues with pain or eating.

My DC knocked front teeth out before starting school. No damage done, the new teeth grew in fine and no issues.

DD knocked a front tooth at 2, it did die and turned grey but never fell out. I was a bit sad about it but the adult teeth came in fine, I believe they mostly do.
