Second baby more unwell?

Hi all,
I have a 3.5 year old and a 10 month old.
with my 3.5 year old she was rarely ill as a baby - until she started nursery and we then had about 6-12 months of back to back illness!
my son though has been unwell back to back since he was about 8 months. Mostly coughs, fevers and one chest infection.
im assuming this is because of my daughter brining germs back from pre-school?
has anyone else experienced their baby being unwell from such a young age and what was your experience when they then started nursery? He’s due to start in April and I’m petrified!
thanks for any advice

Yep, I found my 1st was a breeze until she started nursery but with the other 2, it started really early on and they were ill continuously through their baby years in the winter. RSV, croup, coughs, colds, norovirus.... it was pretty grim at times and I felt we should have bought shares in Calpol. Edited to add that it did get better, it's just hard going at the time. Vitamins and lots of fruit/veg help but it's just their immune systems developing. I found that once they got past 5 to 6, they were rarely ill.

Thanks so much for replying. That does sound really tough but has made me feel less alone in this situation so thank you!!
