Rash on tummy

Hi all,

my 10month old woke up with this rash on her tummy (1st photo or the one with mild rash on it as I’m unsure if the photos are posted in order here). 3 hours later it’s like tripled in size ( second photo).

took her to the doctors and he didn’t know what it was so just basically sent me home as she’s well in herself.

ive noticed now that you can see small little red spots around her body now (nothing major. You really have to look for them) but they weren’t there earlier. doctor saw them too.

has anyone’s kids had something similar?

My kids have had post viral rashes that looked like that. Has your daughter had a virus recently?

At least you've had it checked out so you don't have to worry. I do understand being curious though - I always want to know what things are too!

I wonder if that's the start of chickenpox.

Does it blanch?

OP has seen the GP. I assume s/he did check this!!

I wouldn't be surprised if not. I'd certainly be checking at home not just assuming the gp did everything they are supposed to.
