got called by nursery saying my daughter might have chicken pox. Picked her up - she has one spot on her hand & one on her chin. No more have developed through the day - she has no other symptoms & seems well in herself - I have attached a photo of her hand - does this look like chicken pox or something else ? Thanks !

Still nothing.

Chin and hand though.... hand foot and mouth. Chicken pox tends to start on the torso.

It is hand foot and mouth.

That's not chicken pox.
I doubt she'll be at nursery this week tho. Sorry.

Ask the GP.

Looks more like HFM than chickenpox to me, but my DC both had a high fever with HFM so its always possible it's neither?

DC nursery always wanted a doctor to have seen any rash (or a photo) and said it's not chickenpox before they were allowed back in. HFM is not an exclusion from nursery as far as I'm aware, assuming no fever.

Doesn't look like chickenpox. Maybe the start of hand foot and mouth though
