Blood in snot 2 month old

My DD is 11 weeks and has had 2 colds since she was born. She has an older sister who is in school and whilst they’ve not been bad colds I am worried as each time, she has had some blood in her snot.

I’ve used a saline spray, snot sucker/picker, probably more the first cold she had and was so scared after I saw the blood I stopped. The blood in her snot appeared after her cold had subsided last time.
This time I’ve only used the saline spray, but she was so congested yesterday I used to snot sucker very gently and today she has some blood in her snot again.

I saw the GP about this after the first time who said she may have a cut or polyp but queried if we should have a blood test which scared me to death and he was quite serious. He said if it happens again I need to go back, so I’ll call tomorrow but want to know if anyone else has experience of this particularly in a baby so young?
My other DD always has a bit of blood in her snot after a heavy cold and no other time, but worrying as my new baby is so little.
It’s not a lot of blood, typically is out in one or two ‘bogies’ if that makes sense. It doesnt m return the next day and after the cold clears it goes back to normal but shes only 11 weeks so hardly had a good run of this not happening. Any advice or experiance welcome, TIA.

My DD had this with her first cold at 3m and an actual nosebleed one night. Needless to say I freaked out! Took her to the GP who examined her nose and asked if I was using a snot sucker which I was, quite a lot and said it’s probably from that, it may have caused a little tear. I stopped using it and it didn’t happen again

Think the snot sucker is a bit rough on a little nose!
