Sickness bug or food poisoning in siblings?

I just wanted some opinions on this situation if possible. My 2 daughters both starting vomiting Saturday night. My 4 year old at 11pm and 1 year old at 11:30pm. This lasted until 4/5am Sunday morning. My 1 year old wasn’t sick after that. My 4 year old was sick again at 2pm Sunday and then once more at 8am Monday. I initially thought it was a stomach bug from nursery but was told there were no reports of a stomach bug going round. We also hadn’t been anywhere all week where they could’ve caught one. I thought it was strange that they both started being sick at the same time when usually it’s one child one day and the other child the next. My husband and I didn’t eat the same meals as them on Saturday night and they both had the same dinner at 5pm Saturday. I know I won’t know for sure but does this seem more like food poisoning or a bug? My husband and I haven’t caught it or felt remotely unwell either!

I’d guess food poisoning if they came down at very similar times and there wasn’t a bug at nursery. My children have actually never given each other a sickness bug- not sure how tbh but I’ve never had both of them vomiting at the same time.

Had they been anywhere together on the Thursday or Friday (e.g. soft play or birthday party. Even the library or similar). If so it will be a big that they’ve picked up together. Norovirus is rife at the moment.

My Dd 2 had a stomach bug from God knows where and myself and DP caught it - we both starting vomiting within the same HOUR the following day. And that was def a bug.
