Hi everyone - has anyone experienced this or can shed any light because I’m worrying 😵‍💫
the week before Christmas my 5 year old boy had a uti - they sent his wee off to the lab and when they had the results back 5 days later they gave a weeks course of trimethoprim which seemed to clear it - since he’s complained about occasional lower tummy pains but been absolutely fine in himself so I didn’t think anything of it . Last Wednesday I took him back to the drs because the pain increased and when the dr dipped his wee there was leukocytes, nitrites and protein - he sent the wee off but gave 5 days of trimethoprim - we went back today as they wanted to test his urine again and there’s still leukocytes and protein - he’s given 5 days of cefalexin and sent the sample to the lab again. His lab result from last week didnt grow any bacteria so I’m unsure what to make of it - trying not to worry but it seems weird 🤷🏻‍♀️ he had a pediatrician appointment in a couple of weeks so I’m gojng to mention it x
