8 year old milk tooth pain

My 8 year son was complaining of toothache this morning in his top front baby tooth.. I gave him Calpol and couldn't get him an appointment anywhere I was told to ring back tomorrow morning at 8am for an emergency appointment. He's gone through the day with mild discomfort but been playing fine eating and drinking fine. Just before bed whilst brushing his teeth he said under his lip felt swollen I couldn't see anything but I assumed it's because he's been touching it all day and irritating it. Anyway I've just been in his room and his top lip is definitely swollen. He's fast asleep and doesn't seem to be in discomfort. Is this something that can wait till the morning when I get that emergency appointment? I'm panicking slightly.. I even folded back his lip to look under it and he didn't even flinch but I don't know what to do 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

He's 8? If there hasn't been an injury or decay, surely his adult teeth are coming in?
