Flu A help please!

My 5 year old daughter tested positive for Flu A yesterday. She has had a temperature of 40.2 when ibuprofen and calpol wear off. She won't eat, play, hardly drinking much at all. It is now 1.30pm and hasn't moved off of the sofa since 6.30 thismorning apart from when I had to carry her upstairs to encourage her to do a wee.

Has anyone else's child had this? How high and how long did their temperature last? Any tips?

She is turning down ice lollies, yoghurts, fruit pouches, hot chocolate, milk.

She does have Autism so trying new foods etc can be tricky.

Hi. My 5 year old had it recently, temperature stayed high for around 5 days, although she wasn't eating i made sure she drank a lot of water..at her sickest i sat with a calpol syringe and syringed 5 ml into her mouth every few mins.
Would she drink the kids electrolyte drink? It's pink and doesn't taste awful..again..i did this in a syringe..apart from preventing dehydration there is not much else you can do only wait it out and she will be fine.
My daughter would only eat raspberries for 4 days if she likes them?i also had to give round the clock calpol/neurofen for those days just to keep temp under 40.
Good luck..not leaving the house for 2 weeks is hard but the symptoms should start to slowly improve after the first 5 days or so.
