7 week old - eyelash in eye

7 week old has had an eyelash in her eye for around 3 days. It isn’t causing her any pain, but I’m worried. We’ve been putting water on a cotton ball and wiped as suggested on internet.

Any idea how I can get it out? Or who I should go to if it won’t come out? GP, Pharmacy?

Thanks

Optician first thing tomorrow would be my advice.

Thank you. I’m worried her eyelid looks a little swollen and I’m panicking.

Could you gently use a cotton bud or do an eye wash with saline solution.

We’ve been using a cotton ball with water on, but will definitely try the saline solution. The one we have here is only suitable for age 12+, so will go to the pharmacy today and see if they have one for babies, then opticians in the morning.

Thank you!

Do you breastfeed? You could try a little milk. I was always told to use it if DC’s eyes had any soreness, it might help wash it away.
