Odd marks/sores on DD feet?

Evening all!

Any guesses on DDs strange marks on her foot? (photos attached - sorry for the poor quality!) She is 3.5 and complained that her foot hurt this morning but didn’t flinch when I put some Savlon on it a minute ago! The bath seemed to make it more red?

Photos are before/during a bath.. it looks like she’s stepped on something but the ‘line’ bit on the outer edge of her foot has been there a few days? I thought that was a bruise and then the circular mark/sore bit has appeared today?

She does suffer with eczema but unsure if it is that, she’s stepped on something, or if it’s something else?

Before I book a GP appointment, any thoughts?

(she’s had chickenpox and I don’t think it’s HFM but could be wrong? She’s fine in herself!)

Blisters ?

Grumblies · 01/01/2026 19:15

They look like blisters. Are her shoes too tight?

tiddlerfan · 01/01/2026 19:17

They do look like blisters, but she’s been living in fluffy crocs for weeks, I can’t see it being them! It’s really weird and an odd shape!

Has she been running around barefooted or just with socks anywhere recently? Like soft play or similar?

maybe a stone has got in her crocs? And that has her rubbed maybe

Haggisfish3 · 01/01/2026 19:50

Fluffy crocs are man made materials though. Could well be a friction burn or blister from them. Try adding socks or different shoes or putting a plaster on it?

Haggisfish3 · 01/01/2026 19:51

the bit in the very middle looks like it could be verruca. Red lines are odd though.

tiddlerfan · 01/01/2026 19:56

I will try her in shoes other than crocs, good thinking - although she always wears socks with them?
It could be the two marks are separate - the ‘linear’ marks have been there the longest so I think I’m more nervous about them?

To me that looks like a tracking cellulitis, the lines show infection could be spreading.

I can see why you have said this as well. Op I would be calling 111. Given there is no obvs reason for those marks, it would be better to get them checked out.

Thanks all. This morning her foot looks a lot calmer, no tracking marks or anything, I’m going to keep an eye on it today and call for a GP appointment this afternoon if it’s still there.
It’s not causing her pain but I’ll try her in different shoes for a week to see if that makes the difference!

Looks like dishydrotic excema, although the pattern is unusual.

That starts as itchy skin, then the blisters appear, and once the skin feels its sore (as the new skin is exposed).
