Chicken pox vaccine- limp?

My 5 year old boy had the chicken pox vaccine on Saturday morning. In Saturday night he woke up with a pain in his thigh and has been limping around since (2 days ago). His weight buckles every now and then, he puts weight on it but will fall to the floor saying ow.

i took him to the gp today who thinks it’s just a muscular strain. I have read online about chicken pox and transient synovitis- is this possible 24 hours after vaccine?!

thank you!

Are you in the UK? It's in the arm unless a really little baby. And neither of mine had any issues at all. My ten month old didn't even cry.

@Sillysoggyspaniel yes in the arm- a lot of people have said about no side effects but he does get illnesses a lot worse than any of us and always has done (had blood tests done previously and no cause for this). My 18 month old who also had it done was definitely off colour yesterday and slept a lot more so could be vaccine related

Limp still there today- seems stiff and worse after sitting down for a long time?!
