Cold sore

Could this be a cold sore? Really stressing and none of us get it but my son is 2.5 and always drinks from other kids’ water bottles despite us obviously telling him not to! Never had anything like this before. Can figure out if it’s more a pimple!

It's hard to say whether or not it is a cold sore from the photo.

Did you see it before it blistered over? Cold sores usually present as a shiny blister for the first few days and at this stage they are usually sore and itchy. Then they usually ooze for a few days before scabbing over.

Thank you. No, this is what it looked like yesterday… so I’m not sure really…

I think you will be able to tell from whether it cracks into raw skin or starts oozing
