Laryngitis in 10 Year Old

My daughter is suffering with laryngitis and is currently on day 12 of having no voice (complete silence), this came on following a flu virus. We've been to the GP twice and been reassured that this can happen and that the best treatment is rest and staying hydrated. Does anyone have experience of their child experiencing complete voice loss for this length of time? We just want to make sure there isn't anything else we should be pushing for at this point in time as starting to worry. She's well in herself other than the voice loss, thanks for reading!

bumping for you as ive not got a child wirh that but my friend is on day 12 (at least) and is still so husky i can hardly make out what shes saying. shes not worried though as was told it’s fine by gp.

that may be irrelevant for you right enough, but at least im bumping for you. hope the patient gets her voice back soon wee soul.
