Advice needed - toddler badly bit lip

Yesterday afternoon my 2 year old hit his face onto the handlebar on the seesaw in the park. He bit down on his lip and it bled a lot but stopped pretty quickly. He calmed down quite fast and was happy so I assumed he’s fine. Today the lip is very swollen and he’s complaining about it, unsure if it’s worth a trip to gp as most people are saying online they don’t do anything for the internal lip

I would go - that looks really sore.

I’d go to a minor injuries / walk in as that looks really sore

Yes I would. You probably need some kind of salve to put on it to prevent infection.

You could try a pharmacy first but they will probably send you to minor injuries anyway.

I wouldn’t go for this. Assuming it’s just internal. Lips / mouth ulcer once wounded so it’ll look a lot worse than it is. My toddler has cut her lips many times and the A&E consultant said they would typically only do something if it pierced through the skin, or the tear crossed the lip / skin line
