Child vomit tonight

Hello
Tonight we went to my parents for a meal, my 9 year old DD ate quite a large 3 course meal. Ate well. Happy until bedtime, about half an hour later than usual. Said she felt sick, but had a big burp and was then fine. An hour and a half later she threw up undigested melon which was her starter, and no evidence of the roast dinner she had after that. Is this likely to be a bug or an intolerance do you think?

I would say if it keeps going it’s a bug but hopefully just one of the weird one offs. Fingers crossed for you

I always treat it like a contagious bug unless I know for sure it’s not. Even a bug can cause just one instance of vomiting

Well she slept all night and has eaten and drunk normally all day so I reckon it was indigestion! I cancelled plans today just in case and will see what tonight brings for tomorrow. Hopefully all fine though!

That’s good! Hope all is well now

Allergy to melon I'd say, and I speak as an over cautious emetophobe

Melon isnt a great thing to eat when youre having a big main which is slowly digested. It causes bloating and general tummy discomfort.
