Leaning Head to Left

I have a 7 month old and wondered if anyone has had an experience of their child leaning their head towards the shoulder?

I’m going to to book a GP appointment anyway, but was wondering if anyone else’s baby does it? He can sit unaided and with perfect posture which his shoulders left, but will occasionally lean his head at 90degrees to the left and then back up, sometimes multiple times, other times, he sits perfectly.

I’ve heard of Torticollis Baby (wry neck) but unsure of this is the same thing. He doesn’t appear uncomfortable and is happy in himself, he has been doing it for a few weeks and I initially thought it might have been due to teething (as he’s had 4 come through) and ear pain as a result but he doesn’t always do it. He doesn’t appear to sleep awkwardly either.

My DD when she was a baby had a knot of muscle in her neck which made her lean slightly to one side and made it hard for her to look to the opposite side. A year of physio sorted it. Definitely the right thing to see the GP
