2 weeks ago my daughter started complaining that she felt she couldn’t get a full breath. We took her to the doctors and they prescribed her inhalers for possible asthma.

2 weeks on and the inhalers do not seem to be helping. We’ve taken her into A and E twice, who’ve said that her oxygen levels are perfect and there’s no sign of distress in her breathing. No temperature or signs of her being unwell. I wanted them to do some further tests on her, but they said as her oxygen levels were fine there’s nothing they can do to check anything else there.

Im going to take her back to the doctors tomorrow and ask for a blood test as im wondering if it could be anemia? She is quite pale, and seems to just be so upset and down with it. She has a limited diet and we struggle with getting her to eat meat and veg a lot of the time.

does this sound likely, or any other suggestions on what I can be asking the doctor to push for tests on as I’m at a loss with what’s going on 😞

Sorry I've no medical knowledge, but that sounds really unpleasant for her. I would think anaemia sounds a possibility. Yes, I'd go back and ask for further tests as she is distressed.
