Chickenpox is here :(

The dreaded pox is finally here! After years of saying ‘I wish mine would catch it sooner than later’ has now turned into ‘oh god, it’s nearly Christmas!’

My eldest (dd 6) has contracted the pox! First spots arrived 6/12 and then very much so about 20 more made an appearance on 7/12. She’s ok thankfully, atm.

I of course know it’s highly likely DS, 5 and DD, 18 months is next… is it usually 2 weeks after eldest DD my DS and youngest DD will have the pox appear? Makes it very close to Christmas, looking like 20th dec ish - brilliant. OR… may they contract is sooner than that as both children have been messing around with eldest DD in close proximity (DD & DS also bunk in the same room and go to the same school and mess around with the same people probably!)

Manifest for me that my other 2 don’t come down with chickenpox until WELL AFTER CHRISTMAS🤞🏼🫣😭

Any recommendations on helping the skin clear up a little faster? The spots on DD are currently white fluid blisters, some have already popped. Not complaining with itchiness, just yet tho!

Mine has it but it didn’t really affect them too much at all. Hope yours is the same!

Fingers crossed mine don’t get it badly. Glad yours were all ok @Prelim 😅

You could look at getting your others vaccinated?

quite possibly @Justcallmedaffodil - however, probably would rather them just get it and hopefully be done with it and save them having a jab - school jabs were traumatising enough for DS🫣😅. Karma now and they’ll get it twice… watch this space!
