Is this chicken pox?

4 days ago my 8 year old son developed some spots behind ear and down his neck, it then spread over his back and torso. The doctor is saying chicken pox but it has cleared up behind his ears and neck without blistering and scabbing over and has now moved onto his private area and down his legs but again not a blister in sight. He has no temp and generally feels well and has no itching. Has anyone seen chicken pox like this with no symptoms ? I have added pictures thanks

The bits on his torso look like when I had pityriasis rosea, but I’ve not seen that on anyone’s head

I wouldn’t say chicken pox no

Looks more viral to me. But I’m not a medical professional. The ones behind his ears look more like the pox. I’d see what he looks like in the morning. Have the initial ones completely disappeared?

No not at all like CP. is it itchy? Looks more like a post viral rash to me but I’m not a medic

Thats not chicken pox.

Yes the ones behind his ears disappeared 2 days after they came up and then appeared on his legs. He does have a couple of spots on his foot which are more pox looking

Yeah PR stopped at my neck and groin & it would be unusual to get it on your face.

nope no itch at all. He hasn’t been unwell at all.
