4mo blood in poo

I’ve been to the dr a couple of times about small visible spots of blood in my baby’s poo. They’ve suggested either 1) it is due to a virus picked up by her older sibling. She has been pretty back to back with virus’ since autumn, or 2) to cut dairy out for 2 weeks and see if it goes away ie suggesting CMPA.

She is generally very content, a very good size, and shows no other signs of CMPA. I do notice occasional discomfort before she poo’s but only once every few days, if that. I’m therefore not convinced it’s CMPA. I’ve noticed it more frequently in the last week but she’s been battling a really awful flu virus (was in hospital) and although is better now I can only assume her body is still battling it.

im going to go back to the dr but would find it useful to hear any views or experiences that are similar so I go back to dr well equipped!

I think its good to let it swing for the time being. Give it a few months to see if things change. Blood used to be in my poo, this doesnt happen anymore. Always keep tabs with your doctor.
