Low grade fever and headache - 5yo

Hello, my 5yo came home from school 2 days ago and told me he had a headache from lunchtime that ‘came and went’, he was really really pale and quite tired (not like him), and his temp was measuring about 37 and he felt warm (I know doctors don’t count this but he usually runs cool).

I presumed a typical virus would ensue but nothing else has really appeared or happens and we just have intermittent bouts of headache and low grade fevers. He can go hours feeling fine but then he’ll suddenly tell me his head hurts and feel quite warm. He’s complained sporadically of a sore throat and belly but not all that much, he’s got a super minor cough, no snot. Just mostly an intermittent headache and fever that at max is reaching 37.9.

Anyone else experienced anything similar? It seems a bit odd that 48 hours later he’s still just basically the same. I will caveat that between these bouts he is almost his totally normal self and today he went from 7am to 3pm without any head complaints.

My daughter is the same and also complaining of earache. I think it’s just viral thing that will go in a few days

Hi op, my 11yo Ds is the same - his has been going on since nearly 2 weeks with cough / snotty nose / sore throat and then d&v, still with headaches. Im hoping there are just lots of bugs around that have hit him at the same time. Hope your DS feels better soon
