My daughter is 7 y/o - she has never been a good sleeper but recently she has started crying and talking in her sleep, but she isn't awake. This has since progressed to sleep walking. She will walk around in her bedroom or come and find me to tell me something. It is very obvious she isn't awake and doesn't remember it the next morning. Usually I just gently lie her back down or put her to bed and then sit with her until I know she's gone back off again. I put her to bed between 7-7.30am and she does straight to sleep. The incidents are usually around 9pmish. She does then wake up tired the next morning at anywhere between 6am and 7am.
She is an August baby (so young for the year) and has just started juniors and has enrolled herself into a lot of clubs as well as the increase in work load. I am wondering if she is over stimulated / over tired.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it a phase and will it subside again or should I take her to see a doctor. She is safe and doesn't hurt herself, she has managed to come down the stairs fine and I ensure all doors and windows are locked.
Any advice would be appreciated.
