5 year old smelly armpits?

Not sure if this is normal, soon to be 6 year old has really smelly armpits. Had a shower last night and everything washed yet now she stinks. She has been ill over the last few days so not sure if that has any part in this? Is this normal? Looked for other signs of puberty but none apply!

My 6 year old was like this at the start of term - we definitely had a couple of weeks of smelling (proper BO smelling) and I even bought a kids deodorant. Weirdly, it stopped after a few weeks and hasn’t come back. I also wondered if it was linked to a virus somehow because it was very odd.

If shes poorly its most likely linked. Both my dc have a weird smell when poorly.

Not a situation with a 5 year old, but with me. This happened just before I had a urine infection. I am wondering whether things were not filtering out as normal and it was one side effect.

She’s much better now and the smell has gone! Weird how that happens, thanks everyone :)
